Safe Storage of Cylinders

Precautions to take when handling cylinders include:

1- Cylinders should always be in an upright position.

2- They must always be secured with a chain.

3- Group compatible gases together.

4- Place empty cylinders on one side, full ones on the other.

5- Attach safety caps during storage.

6- Avoid contact of the valve with combustible materials.

7- Keep away from all heat sources.

8- Store the fewest cylinders possible.

9- Internal pressure increases or decreases according to ambient heat.
