Precautions to take when handling cylinders include:

1- Keep away from heat sources.

2- Always secure the cylinders.

3- Protect the cylinders against any moving objects.

4- Monitor for leaks.

5- Always use a cap to move a cylinder.

6- A cylinder is not a roller for transporting a load.

7- Never attempt to repair a cylinder.

8- Always keep cylinders in an upright position.

9- Never transfer gas to another cylinder.

10- A special cage must be used for transport by overhead crane.
